Sir,-I have 3ust had an experience that is of interest in view of the talk of collaboration between Britain and the USA being carried through into peacetime. Wishing to purchase some new plant and not wishing to buy American while . Britain was up against it, I inquired all ovei wew Zealand Vor an English firm manuSnSre^ny^tttlTh^ 0 sent off a cable to a big English firm which uses this equipment, asking to recommend an English maker. In a week I got a letter from, their Wei- ■ -i-n agents saying “their principals ha'd cabled them and they would have pleasure in quoting me/' and enclosing an American catalogue. I nave dice got on to at least three firms, all British who are only too eager to supply Now what is this, collaboration, independence or mffilcA.
