CREW BALE OUT
(10 a.m.) WASHINGTON. Dec. 17. The American Army’s record-breaking plane, X. 8.42, known as the Mixmaster. crashed near Washington. The three members of the crew parachuted safely. The fuselage fell about a mile away. The Mixmaster established a crosscountry record on December 8. travel ling from Longbeach. California, to Washington in ohr 17min.
