“ATHLETE’S FOOT”
NEW U.S. TREATMENT 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON. Oct. 25. The Navy Bureau of Medicine and urgery has announced a new treatlent for “athlete’s foot,” The new prearation, known as undecylenic powder, as as its active ingredients, 2 per cent [ undecylenic acid (the fatty acid aund in sweat), 20 per cent of zinc ndecylenate mixed with ordinary talc owder. The ointment form is used in yvere cases and contains 5 per cent cid, 10 per cent zinc undecylenate lixed in a carbowax base with water, ropylene glycol and triethanolamine.
