APPEAL TO RUSSIA
RE-ENTRY INTO 1.L.0. (10 a.m.) PARIS, Oct. 24. An appeal to Russia to rejoin the International Labour Organisation was made by Mr. Robert Watt, the American workers’ delegate. He said: “I hope the Soviet Union joins the 1.L.0. and participates fully in its work. Russia’s membership should help her people and our people.” The India employers’ delegate called on the representatives of 45 member States to recognise “that freedom of the peonies of Asiatic countries is the foundation of the future planning of the world and that thus alone can a solid structure for world peace be built.”
