WATERSIDERS’ ACTION QUESTIONS IN HOUSE (P.R.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 25. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, answered “Yes” in a written reply given in the House of Representatives to a question by Mr. K. J. Holyoake (Opp., Pahiatua) whether Mr." Fraser was seized of the full consequences which the decision of the Watersiders' Union in refusing to load cargo on ships proceeding to the Dutch East Indies might have on New Zealand’s international standing and relations. Mr. Holyoake also asked whether Mr. Fraser would advise the House if it were the Government’s intention to delegate its authority and responsibility to the Watersiders* Union to determine and carry out New Zealand’s future foreign policy in such matters. To that query Mr. Fraser answered “No.”
