MARGARINE SUPPLIES
RELEASE IN BRITAIN (Special Correspondent.) (10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. Margarine is in the news this week with the announcement that special salted and unsaltcd varieties, both having A and D vitamin, will be released bv the Ministry of Food as from November 11. It may be some time before the unsalted kind is generally available and, meantime, the first supplies will go to the London and Glasgow areas where it was popular before the war.
Potato growers report crops of a lifetime. If there are no early frosts there should be no queueing up for potatoes next year.
