NYLON FOR HOSIERY
SUPPLIES IN BRITAIN (10 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 11. Limited supplies of nylon yarn have been released for the manufacture of civilian goods. Nylon hitherto has been utilised for the manufacture of parachute fabrics and cords. The cessation of requirements has enabled the Board of Trade and Ministry of Supply to release to the silk hosiery industries limited supplies, a proportion of which will be used for hosiery.
