RADIO CHESS TOURNEY
U.S.-RUSSIA GAME OPENS (9 a.m.) MOSCOW, Sept. 3. The U.S. Ambassador in Moscow, Mr. Averill Harriman, opened the first international chess tournament between Russia and America, which is being conducted by radio. A member of the British Embassy, Mr. Gifford, is representing the British Chess Federation and is acting as arbitrator. '
