Initial Wool Appraisal
Wool appraisers representing the United Kingdom Government opened the 1945-40 series of appraisals in the Gisborne-East Coast district this week the offerings comprising crutchings with a small amount of fleece wool. At Gisborne, 2430 bales were displayed, as against 2191 at the same appraisal last year; and at Tokcmaru Bay 203 bales were appraised as compared with 245 bales last year. Prompt day in connection with this appraisal .will be on September 5 The appraisers are now at Auckland, where approximately 5000 bales are .to be dealt with,
