NEW DRESS FABRIC

CHICKEN FEATHERS USED WOOL SUBSTITUTE IN U.S. (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Aug. 24. The New York Herald-Tribune announced the development of a new fabric which is made principally from chicken feathers. It is reported to be warmer, softer, and lighter than wool fabric, nnd looks like wool. It is designed for use mainly in suits, dresses and sweaters. It can be dyed any colour, and possesses more sheen than wool. It is completely odourless and can be laundered with no more shrinkage than cotton fabrics. The cost is cheaper than wool but more expensive than cotton.
