TRIBUTES PAID
SEAD LEGISLATORS
(P.R.) WELLINGTON, June 29. After formal business had been completed, to-day’s sitting of the House of Representatives was devoted to tributes to members and former members of Parliament who died during the recess. Included in a longer list than usual were two who died while members of the present House—Mr. J. W. Munro and Mr. F. Findlay. The new member for Hamilton, Mrs H. C. Ross, spoke for the first time during the tributes to Mr. Findlay’s career, adding her eulogy of the services of her predecessor.
A former member and Minister whose services also were praisec] during the morning was the Hon. J.' G. Cobbe, who retired from the Manawatu seat at the completion of the life of the last Parliament.
