RESTORATION OF POLLS
STUDENTS ON STRIKE (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, June 29. Voices from all sections of Argentine' 'public opinion, demanding the prompt return to constitutional normality, meaning free elections without delay, are rapidly swelling into a deafening chorus, says the New York Times’ correspondent in Buenos Aires. University students added to the clamour to-day 'by going on a 24-hour strike. Student strikes are npl new to Buenos Aires, but this one is remarkable for two reasons; firstly, the strike includes all six Argentine universities, and secondly it was supported by all student organisations from democratic Leftist to frankly Nationalist. When the democrats and nationalists, Who hitherto have fought like dogs, make a common cause against the Government, it is clear that 1 the repudiation of the present •regime is complete or very nearly so;
