STATE BREWERIES?
AUSTRALIAN PROSPECT (9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 8. It was Labour’s policy to nationalise the breweries, the Premier of New South Wales, Mr. W. J. McKell, told the State Labour caucus. Legislation to “bring about stronger control of the liquor trade” was advocated by I members after letters had been read ! from some Labour leagues asking the Government to take action to remove | abuses from the liquor trade.
