INTER-ISLAND GAME
CRICKET AT AUCKLAND EARLY MARCH FIXTURE (P.A.) . AUCKLAND. Feb. S. The first inter-island cricket match ever to he staged in Auckland will be played at Eden Park on March 2, T and 5, rtcobrd!l1 k to advice received by the Northern Cricket Association from the N.Z. Cricket Council. Auckland had requested a game of this quality after the encouraging response to the Aucklfind-Canterbury game at the New Year, and the financial benefit to the N.Z. Council should be considerable. The respective teams will be selected by the captains of the four major provinces, the South Island XI after the CanterburyOfcago game this week-end and the North Island after the Auckland-Wellington match here a fortnight before the big match.
