BUSHELS OF BEES

HARBOUR DARKENED INCIDENT AT AUCKLAND (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 8. Swarms of bees obliterated two navigating lights in the Rangitoto Channel on Tuesday night. When an officer of the Mount Victoria station reported the lights were out, the Auckland Harbour Board's lights attendant went out in a launch, but it was two hours before the lights were cleared.

An inspection of the lights yesterday showed that a number of bees had penetrated into .the interior oi' the lights. There is no record otj bees previously interfering with the tights.
