SATURDAY’S POLLING CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS LABOUR CONSOLIDATION (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. Mr. ICaponga Eureti, who had announced his intention to contest the Western Maori election on Saturday as an Independent Labour candidate, staled last evening that he had decided to withdraw from the contest. Though Mr. Erueti has announced his withdrawal from the contest his name will appear on the ballot-paper, as he went to nomination.
