" iio Admiralty announces that the destroyer Aklcnhnm lias been lost. Tim Aldenliam had one of the most distinguished war records of any of 'll is Majesty's destroyers. She lias steamed the equivalent of moi'e than twice round the world every year since she was commissioned in 1942, having covered nearly 200,000 miles since she went to sea for service in the Mediterranean and on the African coast.
