OMURA BOMBED
PRECISION ATTACK CHINA-BASED B29’S (10 a.m.) WASHINGTON. Jan. 7. A substantial force of China-based Super-Fortresses bombed the Omura aircraft plant on Kyushu on January G, Japanese lime, says a 20th Air Force communique. The bombing was done by precision instruments. The results were unobserved. The interception and flak wc-ro both described as moderate. One bomber is missing. Preliminary claims arc that one enemy fighter was destroyed, five probably destroyed, and three damaged.
