AUSTRALIAN PREMIER SIXTIETH "BIRTHDAY (10 a.m.) CANBERRA, Jan. 8. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. Curtin, will celebrate his sixtieth birthday today resting at the Prime Minister’s lodge. Under the doctor’s orders he will not return to official duties for some weeks. However, his health-is greatly improved and he is expected to make an unofficial call at a Cabinet meeting to be held this week. Mr. Curtin has led the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party since 1935—a record term. By the 1946 election he will have exceeded the aggregate term as Australian Labour Prime Minister of four years 11 months held by Mr. Andrew Fisher.
