WEDDING OF INTEREST

SPENCER —QUIGLEY Friends gathered at St J . David’s Presbyterian Church, Kniti, on Thursday afternoon 1 for the marriage of Ngaire Lillias, second 1 daughter of Mr, and Mrs. I. J. Quigley, | Ii anui road, and the Rev. David Charles , Spencer, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C.F. j Spencer, Nelson. I The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Crawford Madill, Martinborough, and Mrs. K. P. Lilly was at the organ. Blue hydrangeas, scabias, agapanthus and shaded gladioli had been artistically arranged in the church by members of St. David’s Girls' Bible Class. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a soft classic gown of ivory georgette I showing a long-waisted rucked bodice finish- , <d with a yoke of ivory embroidered satin extending to the shoulder point of the short sleeves, and a flowing skirt sweeping into a train. Her exquisite veil, loaned by a friend, was of deep cream hand-embroidered net, over SO years old, and was held in place with two sprigs of orange blossom. The bride added long white kid gloves and carried a lovely shower bouquet of white gladioli and carnations, intermingled with gypsophila and asparagus fern. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Vivienne Quigley, wearing a picture frock of ob i blue drawn-thread organdie designed with a heart-shaped neckline edged with narrow organdie pleating, short sleeves and a full skirt.
