RECORD BOND SALES
AMERICAN WAR LOAN
GO a.m.) WASHINGTON, Jan. 5. The Secretary of the Treasury, Mr. Henry Morgcnthau, announced that sales'of bonds in the sixth war loan were a record, totalling 21,921,000,000 dollars, which is 1.000,000,000 dollars more than the previous record established by the fifth war loan last summer. The fifth loan quota was 14,000,000,000 dollars. Bond sales to individuals amounted almost to (1,000.000.000 dollars.
