' NEW AMERICAN LANDINGS PH 11 JPPINES ARCHIPELAGO HO a.m.i WASHINGTON, Jan. 5. The American aerial attacks on Formosa and the Okinawas are preparation tor a succession of daring offensives, according to Tokio broadcasts which linked “daring enemy forays with an enemy task force escorting a transport convoy through the Sulu Sea. seemingly to effect new landings in tiro Philippines.” The Japanese Domei News Agency said the raids are obviously intended to check tho Philippines battle and at the same time attempt to sever the Japanese air supply route to the Philippines. He added that the battle lor the Philippines is now fast becoming one of extremely delicate developments.
