BREAK WITH JAPAN TURKISH DISCLOSURE
ENEMY LISTENING-POST (10 a.m.) ANKARA, Jan. 4
The Turkish Foreign Minister, M. Hasan Saka, addressing the Turkish National Assembly, said that the diplomatic break with Japan followed a suggestion made on Christmas Day by the' United States Government backed by the British Government. The suggestion was that the break would shorten the war against Japan by depriving the Japanese of a position from which Allied preparations were observable.
