Reports filed in Congrcs ol' party campaign expenses in the Presidential election show that the Democrats expended 2,056,121 dollars 58 cents lo elect President Roosevelt The Republicans spent 2,828,651 dollars 50 cents in the unsuccessful campaign for T. P. Dewey. The Republican receipts were 2,999.999 dollars 48 cents, which is 52 cents under the legal limit, for election contributions. The Democrat receipts were 2,056,121 dollars 58 cents.
