LUXURIES FROM PARIS
U.S. IMPORTS PROBABLE READY MARKET LIKELY (10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 3. According to the Washington correspondent of the New York Times, the United States will soon authorise the imports of luxuries from Paris, including gowns, perfumes, jewellery and wines. Officials emphasised that (lie quantities that may be imported would depend on the speedy loading of ships returning after discharging military supplies at French ports. The imports would provide France with dollar exchange and find a ready market.
