BOMBED OFF FORMOSA WIDE DAMAGE ON LUZON WASHINGTON, Jan. 2. General MacArth.nr announced that American planes caused. widespread damage to warehouses, railway installations, power plants and wharves on Luzon Island on December 21 and set fire to five coastal freighters east of Formosa.
