SHEEP PRICES IMPROVE BEEF REMAINS FIRM (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 1. There was a slight improvement in prices for sheep- at the Westfield slock sale yes-let-day, although the yarding was less Ilian Hie average. Lambs were in short minihers with prices easier. Smaller qunn’ities of beef were available with prices showing little change. Quotations for pigs were firm.
