GISBORNE SHORTAGE
About 60 men are required for works at GiSborrie, Wairoa and Tokomaru Bay, said the man-power officer, Mr. V. G. Walker, this morning. At Tokomaru Bay the position was made more difficult by the need for solo butchers. There was a shortage of 25 hands, mostly inexperienced, in Gisborne and a similar number at Wairoa.
