The Lndy Galway Guild lias sent oif recently four cases' of clothing antb comforts for air raid victim's in Britain. These contained 176 articles of clothing-' for men. women, girls, boys, and children and iiuilts. From Puha and Te Karat:-, came money to purchase used army clothing, some of which Ims been repaired and included in the cases mentioned. The guild has collaborated with Mrs. C. G. Holdswctrlh and local donors to send a large case of clothing to the Polish camp at Pahiatua. The. final meeting for 194-1 is on December 11. when the guild will sew as usual and also pack another ease: then close down until 'January 22. There is a sack of 100 army soX for repair, also shirts, jerseys, and singlets which all will provide warm clothing for English needs. Workers at the guild and- others willing to take work in their own homes are much needed. The guild regrets the departure of Mrs. A. G; Lucas from the district; she has been a tower of strength ever since the inception of the guild. Mrs. F. M. Hindrup’s departure, leaves another gap in the ranks of the workers. Mrs. F. J.
