REVENUE IN OCTOBER CUSTOMS COLLECTIONS Revenue collected at the Gisborne office of the Customs Department again showed an increase in October, as compared with October. 1943, the difference being approximately £2IOO. Special war taxation represented a slightly larger proportion of the total collections in the month just ended, revenue from this form of taxation being £7249 as against £9390 in normal taxation: the comparative figures for the corresponding period last year being £5966 and £8546.
