Admiral Hart, formerly commander of the United States Asiatic Fleet, has . returned from Pacific areas, where he recorded the testimony of a considerable number of officers concerning the facts surrounding the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbour on December 7, 1941. Admiral Hart said that his investigations failed to uncover evidence of sabotage and espionage. He emphatically denied rumours that drunkenness was partially responsible for the Inadequate defence of Pearl Harbour.
