PRETTY WEDDING
COOPER—BLAKE At St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gisborne, on Wednesday, July 14, Lois Vera, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Blake, Walton, was quietly married to Nelson, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Cooper, Patutahi. The ceremony was performed by the Very Rev. John Davie. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was piped into the church by Mr. McDonald. She wore a lovely trained frock of pale pink Marquisette and a veil of embroidered tulle held in place with a halo of pink orange blossom. Her bouquet was of mixed flowers in delicate shades of pink. A frock of pink lace and a picture hat of the same material were the choice of Miss Mary Bruce, the bridesmaid. She carried a bouquet of mixGd flowers to tone with her frock. Mr. Pat Cooper, brother ot the bridegroom, was best man. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Blake entertained a number of friends at a delightful reception at Almadale* Guest House. Among the guests were Mrs. Death, Whangarei, grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. Stubb3, Whitaker street, grandmother of the bridegroom.
