MADAME CHIANG’S LUCK
LONDON, July 11... A Chungking message says that Madame Chiang Kai-Shek nearly felt into the hands of the Japanese on her way home from the United States. Tim American plane in which she was travelling narrowly avoided having to make a forced landing on enemy territory in Burma. It eventually reached its base with the petrol tanks practically empty.
