ATTACKED BY RAT
BABY'S SERIOUS INJURIES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July if. Awakened by screams from, their 10-moiiths-old baby, Mr. and Mrs. E. Y r . Edwards, of Oriental Parade, found the child bleeding from wounds on the hands and face. It had been savagely attacked by a rat. The fingers of the let; hand had been bitten almost to the bone ancl there were lesser bites round the left eye. The baby is being treated at a hospital. where the doctor stated that the child was fortunate not to have lost the fingers of the left hand. The rat’s tceth-marks were Clearly defined. . .
