CLUB Iri LONDON IN £i;000,000 MANSION (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY,, April 9. The Lord Privy Seal, Major C. K. Attlee, to-day formally opened the King George and Queen Elizabeth Dominion,. Officers’ Club in Grosvenor street, London. The cliib. which is intended -chiefly for young officers .visiting London, occupies , what once was the town house of Sir Edgar Speyer. The house cost £1.000,000 to build, -and among the appointments is a silver sunken bath. Mr. Attlee said the war had given them an enormous opportunity in the British Commonwealth of getting to know each other better. They should take advantage of this war to get to know each other and while cohcentrating on winning the war they-had to be mindful that they had tci prepare for peace. If .they were to have peace on a sound foundation they could ensure it in no better way than by getting to know.one another.
