SHIP IN CONVOY SUNK SURVIVORS ASSISTED (British Oflieiivl Wireless.) (2 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 28. Fifty-six survivors from a convoy to Russia in July arrived in Britain to-day. One survivor said that after his vessel sank, the attacking submarine came to the surface and the commander said: “ ‘I am sorry to have to sink your ship.’ He gave us a course to follow to reach land and food. We spent six days in the lifeboat before being picked up.”
