VOTE OF WORKERS (3 p.m.) • NEW YORK, Aug. 13. It is reported from Bayonne, New Jersey, that amid shouts of “let the Government take over, ’’the strikers at the General Cable Corporations plant voted to continue the strike when told of the ultimatum issued by the chairman of the War Labour Board, Mr. Davis, who said: ‘Unless there is an early settlement of the strike the next step will be to mstal Federal troops to restore production. The strike was called without sanction of the union because of the War Labour Board’s adverse decision on wage increases.
