Fighting in Street

Two Maori soldiers, Haua Karini, aged 22, and Jim Brown, aged 21, appeared before Mr. C. Blackburn, J.P., in the Gisborne Magistrate’s Court to-day and pleaded guilty to a charge of fighting in Gladstone road last evening with some person urn known. Sergeant A. C. Davis said that there was a third man involved, but .he ran away and could not be located. The two accused had been in custody all night, and were due back in camp to-day.
