N.Z. FOLLOWS BRITAIN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral, Sir Cyril Newall, has received the following message from the private secretary to the King: “The King has appointed Thursday, September 3, to be a national day of prayer and dedication in the United Kingdom.” The Governor-General hopes that this day may also be observed as a national day of prayer and dedication in New Zealand and, with this in view, His Excellency is inviting the co-operation of the churches throughout the Dominion.
