DR. QUEZON’S OPINION
(9.30 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 10. The President of the Philippines, Dr. M. Quezon, in a broadcast, asserted that the Atlantic Charter was a worldwide charter applying to the nations and peoples of Europe, America, Africa and Australia. “Let us be clear in this,” he said. “It is a charter of freedom for the peoples of Asia and all the Far East. Dr Quezon said that Filippinos Were continuing guerrilla warfare against the Japanese from the mountains and jungles.
