LUGGAGE STOLEN
The experience of having a third of her luggage stolen within an hour or so of her arrival on a visit to Blenheim befell Mrs. I-I. T. Morton, of Te Kuiti. Mr. Morton, who is the Mayor of To Kuiti, had travelled to Nelson on business, and Mrs. Morton went to Blenheim to visit her brother, Mr. F. V. H. Robinson. One of three suitcases, which had been left in her brother's car, which was parked in Market street, was stolen. After a police search, a silver fox necklet and a white fur evening coat were recovered from underneath the Blenheim School bridge, where they had been hidden, and clothes were found in the river. The articles removed were valued at £IOO, and.apart from the recovered furs there were other articles which Mrs, Morton particularly valued.
