MEMORANDA
A waste paper drive is being carried out in the Tolaga Bay district, where it is believed large amounts of paper are available. In the opinion of one resident, there are tons of waste paper at the station homesteads. Boy Scouts will call on householders on Saturday for the purpose of collecting clean waste paper und. cardboard. An appeal for funds for crippled children is being made in Gisborne oii Friday by the organisation of a shop day by ’ the New Zealand Crippled Children’s Society. A shop is to be established next door to the Majestic Theatre for the sale of cakes, produce and flowers.
