MATAWAI NEWS
An invitation was extended to Mi's. H. Bulst to attend the monthly meeting of the Matawai Women's Institute, as district representative. Two babies are now forthcoming for the campaign and though late starting Matawai hopes to finish well in its collection of funds for patriotic purposes. A Paddy's market is to be held,'followed by a card tournament. Mrs. Howe and children are visiting Mrs. A. Grant, Matawai.—Mrs. O’Meara is the guest of Mrs. W. L. Fletcher.—Mr. A. E. Gibson returned on Saturday from a holiday visit to Napier, where he was the guest of his daughter, Mrs. M. J. C. Thacker.—Mrs. A. Thomas is spending a holiday as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Thomas, Te Teko. —Driver L. Cameron is spending holiday leave with his parents.—Private J. Wilson is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. Grant, Matawai. ____________
