RESTORATION OF JOBS
MEN & WOMEN IN FORCES CABINET DETERMINED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The regulations requiring employers to reinstate workers who return from service with the armed forces apply to women in the services as well as men. the Minister of National Service, tile Hon. W. T. Broadfoot, stated today. Mr. Broadfoot said that the Government was determined that a person’s service in the armed forces was not going to prejudice his or her right to resume the former occupation after demobilisation. It was true that difficulties might arise in some cases, but the return of those in the services to employment was not going to be left to chance. It would always be the Government's responsibility ancl all the resources and the power of the State would be directed to that end.
