ACTIVITIES RESUMED
MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB TAYLOR SCORES POSSIBLE With the arrival of further supplies of ammunition members of the Gisborne Miniature Rifle Club were able to resume shooting activities last week-end and arc assured of a full programme this season. Tlie first round of the No. 5 trophy series was completed and, although the club was forced into a short recess owing tc the lack of ammunition, the scoring on Saturday night was .well up to the usual high standard. R. Dolman headed the handicap list in the A grade, while G. A. Revell, W. J. Bur•'on and F. J. Jeune, each of whom returned targets of 98, were the highest scorers off the rifle. The feature of the results Was the fine performance of W. J. Taylor, who again registered the possible, and carried off al. the honours in the B grade. Taylor hat now scored the possible on three occasions this season. Competition was very keen in the women’s division, of which Mrs Sutcliffe figured prominently with the good rifle score of 98. With the introduction of “plus handicap ping, the Pistol Match produced excellent competiton and resulted in eight members reaching the standard of 28.
