Regent.—The feature of the current programme at the Regent Theatre is A Yank on the Burma Road." The principal parts are portrayed by Barry Nelson, Laraine Day, Keye Luke, and Miles Mander, plus a cast of thousands of Burmese and Chinese troops. Never has the Regent screened a picture with so much action crammed in in 70 minutOß. It is a picture that will live in the memory of every one who sees it. Many of its incidents are not merely studio work but drawn from actual existence on the Burma road. The featurettes for this programme have been specially selected. Majestic.—Of all the famed love stories told in melody, the screen has seldom beheld s, ch a masterpiece of music as "The Great Waltz.” It is cne of the treasures of the musical screen, with Vienna at its gayest, music you will never forget, and three of the screen’s most brilliant personalities, Milizo TCorjus, Fernand Gravet, and Luise Rainer. The featurettes are new and entertaining. King’s.— The "Adventures of Marco Polo." which commences at the Kings Theatre today, brings to the screen a mighty cavalcade of Oriental splendour and is a rollicking adventurous romance. Samuel Goldwyn who produced this magnificent picture, selected Gary Cooper to play the romantic role of Marco Polo. He also selected some of Hollywood’s top ranking players to Blipport him. Basil Rathbone, Alan Hale, Binnie Barnes, and the beautiful Sigrid Gurie are a few of the names.
