HUGE WHEAT POOL
RELIEF AFTER WAR AUSTRALIA JOINS IN (10.30 a.m.) CANBERRA, July'3. An important international wheat rgreement among the four wheatexporting countries, Argentina, Australia, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom as a consumer nation, has beer, announced by the Prime Minister, Mr. J. .Curtin. • • The agreement covers the duration of the war end after. It provides for .the establishment of a pool to which a contribution of 100,000,000 bushels will be made by each nation as required for relief in stricken areas after the war. . L Provision is made for the contribution of additional quantities to be determined as the extent of the need becomes known. A letter signifying the Commonwealth’s adherence to-the agreement was signed by the Minister 'of External Affairs, Dr. H. .V. Evatt, during his visit to Washington. ;
