80,000 PEOPLE HOMELESS BREMEN DEVASTATION (9.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 2. Messages received in Stockholm from Germany admit the Royal Air Force in three recent raids on Bremen, scored effective hits on the Beschimag and Atlas U-boat building yards ana also put out of action one-third of the Focke-Wulf aircraft works. Eighty thousand of Bremen’s population of 223,000 are reported to be homeless. The German Ministry of the Interior has sent special officials to Bremen to organise emergency relief work.
