FRENCH WARSHIPS.

ORDERS TO ALEXANDRIA NO OIL AVAILABLE (11 a.m.) LONDON, July 2. A Vichy report states that Admiral Darlan sent secret orders to Admiral Godefroy, commanding the French warships at Alexandria. The Vichy Minister in Paris, M Debrinon, at a press conference, said that only lack of oil prevented the French warships at Alexandria weighing anchor and making for a French port. The Paris radio stated that the British fleet quit Alexandria on June 27 and traversed the Suez Canal. Preparations were made to blow up the interned French warships at Alexandria.
