TOKOMARU BAY NEWS
Lance-Corporal E. Corbett and Privates N. Chaffey, J. Oates and N. Thompson,_ who have been spending their leave at their respective homes in Tokomaru Bay, have returned to camp.—Mrs. I. Doig has returned to her home in Ongaruru after visiting her daughter, Mrs. A. Wallace, Napier. —Mrs. M. Corbett, Hautaroa, is spending a few days in Gisborne as the guest of her daughter, Mrs. J. Watts.—Miss N. Oates has returned to Tokomavu Bay after spending a fortnight's holiday in Gisborne.—Mrs. E. East and her small son, Tony, were weekend visitors to Gisborne. —Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Stafford, who jjre leaving Tokomaru Bay shortly to reside in Gisborne, were the guests of honour at a delightfully arranged card party by Mr. and Mrs. J. Todd. The guests included only Ongaruru friends, and a most pleasant evening was spent. A dainty savoury supper was served.—Mrs. Calder, sen., of the South Island, is the guest of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. Calder, Tokomaru Bay. i
